Carter Baumler becomes the 236th Baysox player to play in the Majors

Making his debut in the 8th inning of a losing effort, Carter Baumler is officially a Major Leaguer.

Originally drafted by the Orioles in 2020, Baumler was taken by the Pittsburgh Pirates in last December's Rule 5 Draft then flipped to the Texas Rangers in exchange for right handed pitcher Jaiker Garcia plus cash considerations.

In his first appearance, Baumler faced six batters; allowing a hit and walk but also earning his Major League strikeout and ultimately allowed no runs to score.
